How to use the Crestron
To activate system: If the screen is black, first tap the screen. Next, press "Press here to control system" to start the system and begin using the projector. The system will begin to warm up and will default to the document camera.

Select the system you want to use, for example, to use the computer, press the "desktop" button.

Volume Control: First, ensure that the device you are using is not muted. For example, on the PC, click the speaker icon in the lower right hand corner and ensure the volume bar is not lowered or the mute button selected. Next, on the touch screen, push and hold the top or bottom of the volume bar on the right side of the screen. Also make sure the mute button is not pressed.

To play a VHS tape: Please drop off your VHS tape at the help desk on the first floor at least 1 day prior to the class you need the video played in. Provide them with the tape, classroom(s), and time(s) you will need the video played. To play the tape you've previously dropped off, press the "master control" button on the touch screen. The controls for the VCR, such as play, pause, fast forward and rewind will be available under this option.

To use the document camera, or ELMO: Select the "doc cam" button on the bottom of the screen. If it does not come on, check the back of the ELMO to make sure it is switched on. On the screen you will have options to zoom in or out, focus, etc.

Lighting: There are several options for lighting. When you select a device, the lighting will change to the default settings for that device (such as the PC). If these are not the settings you want (as is often the case), press the "lighting" button in the top left hand corner. Here you can raise or lower lights in the front or rear of the room, or turn them off entirely.

When you are finished with class, PLEASE press the "exit" button on the top right of the screen.

Trouble shooting
No video:
Check to make sure the projector is not muted. To do this, click the "projector mute & power" button in the top left hand corner and ensure that it is not turned off or muted. Also make sure you have selected the correct device on the bottom. IE, if you need the PC, ensure the "desktop" button is pressed.

No Audio: Check to make sure the volume bar on the touch screen is turned up, and also make sure the mute button is not pressed. Check that the device you are using, such as the PC is not muted.

Please contact the CIT help desk if you cannot resolve an issue (located by the Eagle Labs on the 1st floor). If our help desk cannot solve the problem, have them contact the full time technical staff.
