Our FacilitiesThe College of Information Technology is housed in a state-of-the-art building of approximately 140,000 square feet. We have two large public labs, which are open to all Georgia Southern students, and 8 specialized teaching labs, which are typically used only by CIT students, including a Linux lab and two networking labs. In total, the labds hold close to 400 computers, while the networking labs are equipped with modern networking equipment. The College also has two large lecture theaters (240 and 120 seats, respectively), which are used mainly by other departments on campus. Most of the CIT classes are held in much smaller rooms, which hold at most 30 students. The College also has 10 study rooms that you can book for either individual study or group meetings. Many of our courses require you to work in groups, and the study rooms give you the space that they need to complete their group project. Finally, the College also has an award winning atrium, which contains a full service deli and a book store. As you browse through the College web pages, you will see lots of pictures showcasing the College of Information Technology building. We also have a brief video that will give you an even better idea of our facilities.
