Dale Carpenter, SPHR, is the senior human resources business partner for Georgia-Pacific Corporation's Dixie Business. Georgia-Pacific, based in Atlanta, is one of the world’s leading manufacturers and distributors of tissue, paper, packaging, building products, pulp and related chemicals.
In his current role, Dale provides a broad range of human resources management, talent and organizational development services for the Dixie organization. Dixie is a manufacturer of disposable tableware and food service products for the home and business with over 3,000 employees in the US and Canada.
Prior to joining Dixie, Dale was the Senior HR Manager for Georgia-Pacific’s Information Technology organization supporting over 1,100 IT professionals across all of the company’s business units.
Dale has over 20 years of Human Resources management, training and organizational development experience with companies including CIBA Vision and Union Camp. He is a graduate of Oakland University in Rochester, Michigan and is a member of the Society for Human Resources Management. Dale is currently serving as the EVP of Finance and Technology for SHRM Atlanta and is a member of the Board of Advisors for the College of Information Technology at Georgia-Southern University. He and his wife Mary reside in Duluth. They have one son, Chris who resides in Phoenix, Arizona.
