Mr. Robert A "Buddy" LichtyUpon graduation from Georgia Southern University in 1991 with a BBA in Management Information Systems, Buddy spent the first three years of his career working as an Oracle programmer for Brown & Root Environmental at the Savannah River nuclear facility just outside Aiken, SC.
Following Brown & Root Environmental, he spent the last ten years as a consultant for Clarkston Consulting performing in various roles from programmer to project manager for clients in many different industries. Recently, Buddy joined Red Clay Consulting.
He has obtained various certifications with a Deviation tracking application used in the Life Sciences industry, TrackWise (http://www.sparta-systems.com), and two CRM applications, Siebel (www.siebel.com) and Pivotal (www.pivotal.com).
He speaks to GSU students in the College of Information Technology where he visits the classroom as a guest speaker, when time permits, about his career and experiences and what students can expect upon graduation in terms of what is going on in the high tech market place and over all job opportunities.
He currently serves on the GSU College of Information Technology Board of Advisors and as a member on the newly formed GSU Information Systems Department Advisory Board.
Hobbies and other interests include North American big-game hunting, travel
to the northwest areas of North America, and wood working crafts.
