GSU to Host the 2007 ACM ASoutheastern Regional Programming Contest

Georgia Southern, along with Florida Tech and the University of South Alabama will be hosting the 2007 ACM Southeastern Regional Programming Contest on October 13th. The best and the brightest collegiate programmers will compete by attempting to solve a set of programming problems in a given period of time. This will be the second year in a row GSU has hosted the contest. In 2006, over 60 teams from colleges and universities from around the Southeastern United States competed in the contest. The two top teams from the 2006 contest went on to compete in the world finals held in Tokyo, Japan in March, 2007 The ACM programming contest attracts over 5000 teams worldwide and is sponsored by IBM.
