Course Information
CISM 3135-Systems Analysis and Design 3-0-3
Introduces the
fundamental principles of information systems analysis and design. In this
course, students will learn to apply the tools and techniques commonly
used by systems analysts to build and document information systems.
Classical and structured tools for describing data flow, data structure,
process flow, file design, input and output design, and program
specifications will be studied. Object-oriented concepts and techniques
will also be introduced.
Prerequisites: Pre-business and undeclared students must meet the requirements for BBA status. Students with declared majors in other fields must have completed a minimum of 55 semester hours.
