IS Program Student Advisory Committee Established

Senior IS Major Jaron Crutcher will be leaving behind a legacy when he graduates and becomes an IS alumnus in May (some SAP user organization is going to make a great hire).   Jaron has devoted much time and effort to create and implement an IS Program Student Advisory Committee. IS faculty members nominated students to serve on the group and Jaron did all the behind the scenes communication and coordination, including ordering the pizza, to make the first meeting happen.   The group held this first meeting on February 11, elected officers, and completed the paperwork necessary to become an "official" GSU student organization.

The Student Advisory Committee will provide IS majors with a much needed voice in the evolution of the IS curriculum and department’s student support processes.  It will make a wide range of recommendations about changes that should be made to improve the overall experience of IS students.
