Biography:

Dr. Susan Williams is Acting Associate Dean of the College of Business Administration having ben promoted from Professor and Chair of the Department of Information Systems in the spring of 2007. Prior to earning her Ph.D. in Information Systems from Oklahoma State University, she established a successful career in industry as a programmer, systems analyst, and information systems manager.

Dr. Williams has published numerous journal articles focusing on information systems development and adoption. She has also co-authored three text books: Object-Oriented Application Development Using Java, Object-Oriented Application Development Using Visual Basic .NET, and Visual Basic .NET Programming: From Problem Analysis to Program Design.

Dr. Williams has been the recipient of numerous awards while at Georgia Southern, including the W.A. and Emma Lou Crider Award for Excellence in Teaching and the William A. Freeman Professor of the Year Award.
