Traditional
Information Systems Minor


The traditional IS Minor includes courses that make up the heart of an IS Major. It allows you to take several of the most important courses in the major and gives you a firm understanding of the primary tools and methods that Information Systems professionals use.

Required Courses:

  • ACCT 2030 - Survey of Accounting (or ACCT 2101 and ACCT 2102)
  • CISM 4130 - Management Information Systems
  • Select three of the following courses:


    • CISM 3134 - Data Communications
    • CISM 3135 - Systems Analysis and Design
    • CISM 3331 - Principles of Enterprise Information Systems Security
    • CISM 4134 - Database Management
    • CISM 4135 - Project Management
    • CISM 4334 - ERP using SAP®
    • CISM 5131 - Fundatmentals of Computer Forensics
