GSU’s IS program is the oldest in the state of Georgia and its 1200+ alumni have consistently demonstrated that they are well prepared to handle dynamic nature of IT in business organizations. The Department of Information Systems has a highly skilled and motivated faculty who possess state-of-the-art knowledge in both IT and business and who are proficient in using state-of-the art technology to enhance student learning. Our classes incorporate collaborative learning activities that help students develop critical thinking skills while also enhancing their technical, communication, and interpersonal skills. Both undergraduate and graduate students also have the opportunity to earn a SAP Certificate by completing three or more SAP-approved courses. Georgia Southern is the only public university in the state that awards a SAP Certificate and producing graduates with hands-on SAP experience.
