Dr. Aasheim received her B.S. in Mathematics, M.S.T. in Mathematics and Ph.D. in Decision and Information Sciences (2002) from the University of Florida. Dr. Aasheim has taught at the University of Florida and Santa Fe Community College as an adjunct instructor. While teaching as a graduate student at the University of Florida, she won the University-wide award for "Outstanding Service as a Graduate Teaching Assistant." Her research interests include information retrieval, text classification, data mining and decision support systems. Dr. Aasheim's publications include refereed journal articles, book chapters and proceedings in national and regional conferences.
