This position would be with Northrop Grumman on our contract with the CDC.
The position is at the CDC campus.
Visual Studio 2003/2005 C# is our programming platform
The preferred candidate will support the National Center for Zoonotic, Vector Borne and Enteric Diseases (NCZVED), Division of Foodborne, Bacterial, and Mycotic Diseases (DFBMD), and will be involved in all phases of windows, windows service, web service and web application development for FDDB, from requirements gathering, analysis and design to development. Responsibilities will include working with the development team, documentation, interfacing with other development efforts, and implementation. Specifically, the candidate will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following activities:
1. Development and programming responsibilities for new systems based on user and project manager input
2. Programming functionality or modifications to existing systems and other supporting applications
3. Maintenance and revisions of existing underlying database tables and stored procedures.
4. Development and programming responsibilities to ensure successful transition of all or portions of legacy data to new systems.
5. Programming adjustments as necessary to ensure system performance and accuracy.
6. Programming object oriented structures
7. Programming to security standards and validations
8. Defect correction and appropriate regression testing of the application.
9. Development and testing of application and integration of functionality as needed to ensure compliance with CDC and HHS standards.
10. Designing solutions, class structures and modeling databases against requirements and project management input
11. Assisting in documenting requirements and JAD sessions
12. Working closely with the development team in all phases of development in a dynamic team oriented environment
