Position:SharePoint Intranet Developer

This internship will give the successful candidate a solid baseline understanding of the Microsoft SharePoint platform. The candidate will learn about account management, networking, database architecture, site architecture, web design, and security in a SharePoint environment.

The application spans many different aspects of an enterprise network. Successful candidates will get the opportunity to work with various departments in the enterprise as they assist in creating the University's intranet portal. Later, the candidate will assist in creating the University's new internet website. Both portals will be hosted in SharePoint, branded with the Georgia Southern University template, and hosted on the latest version of SharePoint.

The candidate will also learn about the maintenance / patch cycle, the software development lifecycle inside SharePoint, and the upgrade procedure as the University upgrades the portal in 2010.


Successful candidates should have experience with:

- SQL Server
- IIS
- XML
- XSL stylesheets
