Title:                      Web Design / Webmaster Internship

 

Description:        H.A. Sack Company, Inc. is looking for a highly motivated, tech-savy student who is looking to gain real-world web design and programming skills. We are looking for a web developer to construct a new website for our company. The layout and design style of the site will be provided. Programming and coding skills are a MUST.  Web Developer should possess a solid understanding of JavaScript, HTML, and CSS. The ideal candidate will be knowledgeable of open standards and best practices. The candidate should also have a strong awareness of application and database security. Candidate should and display excellent communication skills and the ability to multi-task.

 

Duties include but are not limited to:

Responsible for planning, design, and implementation of site structure, and daily maintenance of new website

Design with standards compliant code with emphasis on browser compatibility, accessibility, and search engine optimization

Develop a customer friendly web-site for all our customers

XHTML & CSS coding, image editing, and Flash animations

Creation of new web pages & content entry

Updating & maintaining the current website  

Additional IT support duties possible

 

Technical Requirements:

Some HTML experience

Working knowledge of Photoshop, Dreamweaver, Shockwave/Flash and Illustrator

Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products

Ability to construct/troubleshoot code by hand if needed

Ability to take creative direction and work independently

Strong artistic & technical proficiency

 

Other Requirements:

Strong verbal & written communication skills

Good interpersonal skills are critical

Attention to detail is a must

Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines, to organize work, set priorities and determine objectives and strategies to achieve them

Ability to work in a collaborative group setting to resolve issues, develops ideas, and answer questions

Ability to meet inflexible deadlines

Must be able to quickly adapt to changing project requirements, deadlines, & expectations

 

Salary:                   This is a PAID internship.
