The Information Application Architecture and Development Team provides Architectural Guidance, Vision and Strategy, and the Development resources for IT projects at Coldwater Creek. The Architecture team sets the vision and strategy regarding tools, technologies, enterprise interfaces between applications, sets standards and works closely with the development teams to make sure each solution developed fits within the enterprise architectural roadmap. The development team is comprised of many developers with multiple backgrounds of technology to satisfy different tools and development efforts needed. The development team works with Business Teams to understand requirements, leads design efforts in partnership with our architecture team, develops solutions, unit tests, and prepares necessary documentation for enabling the transition into the Quality Assurance testing team and Level 1-3 support teams.

The intern program will support our efforts by working with a development mentor in light coding, unit testing, and documentation to help prepare the application for formal QA or production support. During the course of the program the candidate will be exposed to how IT cycles through the process of understanding Business Requirements, turning those into a design, developing a solution, and preparing for formal testing and production support. The candidate will learn general leadership and interpersonal relationship lessons in how to deal effectively with people and processes. The candidate will also gain experience in how best to communicate in a complex working environment that ensures business objectives are met and teamwork is used.

Job Responsibilities:
• Under the supervision of a lead developer, assist in the creation of SAP development efforts for the modules in work at the time the intern joins.
• Organize and document Tspecs for review and support training
• Assist the development team in producing as-built system documentation according to CWC standards
• Perform quality assurance testing
• Produce user documentation
• Other projects as assigned

Task Requirements:
• Student must be pursuing a degree in computer science or management information systems
• Can demonstrate developing solutions with SAP ABAP or PI is preferred
• Analytical and critical thinking skills required.
