Job Summary
This career opportunity is with Wipro Technologies’ US based EAS service line, which provides information technology and business consulting services pertaining to package applications like SAP, Oracle E-Business Suite, PeopleSoft, JD Edwards, Siebel etc across industry verticals. Our team is looking for candidates with demonstrated interest and/or experience in Functional consulting. EAS service line is growing rapidly while continuing to achieve its strategic and financial objectives. Growth of EAS is driven in part by evolving client demands for moving towards package applications and in part by our internal ambition to deliver world class services to our clients.

Training
Initial training and induction will be in Wipro’s Atlanta Center for a period of 8 to 10 weeks. New team members will join a broader peer group for a comprehensive orientation program designed to provide an opportunity to build relationships, to deepen their understanding of the firm, its organization structure, and its go-to market capabilities. Additionally, new team members will participate in training delivered by managers from the EAS group that is focused on broadening ones’ understanding of package applications, methodologies, processes, frameworks, techniques, skills crucial for success within the organization. After this initial training, new team members will participate in a team based, “mock” assignment - a research based project designed to introduce available research tools and to evaluate new hires analytical and presentation abilities as well as their interests.
They may then be temporarily located in India for period of 8 to 10 weeks, “shadowing” experienced consultants and managers within an actual client engagement. Project assignments will be based upon individual’s experience, skills, interests and career goals.

Responsibilities
Our consultants work for leading Fortune 500 clients as a member of EAS team in close partnership with Wipro’s expansive global account and delivery teams. Consultants at Wipro are expected to take an active role in all stages and aspects of the client engagement. Consulting responsibilities (surrounding package application implementation/Support engagements) typically include:
Consolidating and analyzing client requirements and converting them into functional specifications
Working as part of the application implementation/configuration teams
Working as part of the larger multi-geography support teams
Supporting senior team members on client engagements
Implementing best practices and methodologies for a range of client situations

Qualifications Required
The following qualifications are desired in all candidates:
BS/BA degree with concentrations(s) in Engineering (mechanical, electrical/ elecronics), Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Management, Finance.
GPA of 3.1 or higher
Strong written and oral communication skills
Ability to work independently, as well as, a part of a team
Ability to visualize real-life business situations and a passion to develop applications based solutions
Excellent skills in MS Office Tools (Power Point, Word, Excel)
Prior functional experience in industries/areas such as manufacturing, retail, CPG, healthcare, human resources etc
Exposure to ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) and/or SCM (Supply Chain Management) or CRM (Customer Relationship Management) would be an added advantage but not a mandatory requisite.

Travel/Work Locations
The base location will be Atlanta. Based on the project needs, the consultants will be located at Wipro’s development center in Atlanta and/or at customer sites in cities like Bay area, San Diego, Seattle, Detroit, St. Louis, Dublin, Minneapolis, Boston, Atlanta, New York and New Jersey area.
