The Information Technology (IT) program was inaugurated in the Spring of 2000 and started offering classes in the Fall of 2001. Our vision, aligned with the mission of Georgia Southern University, is to become a nationally and internationally recognized program. Our program was one
of the first three IT programs in the country accredited by the Computing Accreditation Commission of ABET. Our degree program covers the main information technologies of programming, databases, networking and web development, while stressing the applications of these technologies in a range of different areas. |
