My name is Terry Hand and I am the computer-networking instructor at Ogeechee Technical College (OTC).  I train students from both OTC & Georgia Southern University (GSU), offering them hands-on training on how to setup, maintain, troubleshoot & secure computer networking systems; but we also specialize in industry standard certification preparation.  Many of you are wondering if taking these classes would be worth your time and effort!?  Most employers would tell you ‘Absolutely’!  Certifications carry a lot of weight in the IS/IT industry, and those precious letters signify to employers your skill-set level.  If you are thinking about earning some certifications, please read the following to determine if OTC is the place for you!

• Boot-Camp Training Seminars: Starting in 2006, we started offering free boot-camp training seminars to students (which have been extremely helpful to students seeking certifications).  Officially boot-camps can cost anywhere from $1000 up to $5,000, but we offer them for free to students who take our certification preparation courses.   

• Certification Discounts.  Students taking our courses can qualify for our low-cost certification exam vouchers (we have the lowest costs in the nation).  Example:  The MCP voucher is $60.00, and you get a second-shot/attempt for free if you do not pass your first attempt.

• Testing Center is Local: You can sign-up for the industry certification tests here on our campus.

• Free Software.  You qualify for free software once you enroll in classes at OTC.
