To meet Georgia Southern University graduation requirements with a College of Information Technology degree, a student must meet the following guidelines: • The student's overall adjusted GPA must be a 2.0 or higher. • All grades in the "Major Courses" including Second Disciplines must be a "C" or higher. • The student's GPA in the Pre- IT of Pre- CS must be a 2.0 or higher. Audit Procedures: 1. Make sure your plan of study worksheet is completed and signed by both you and your advisor. It is your responsibility to make sure the plan of study worksheet is completed prior to submitting the graduation application. 2. Complete a graduation application (be sure to include the date submitted, a Georgia Southern only email address, and sign the form). Graduation audit forms cannot be processed without a campus email address, date submitted, and signature. Clearing for Graduation (Only IT Students) • Students will need to go to the 3rd floor in Rosenwald Building to pick up the graduation application and the requirements needed for graduation forms to take to their advisor. • Registrar gives 24 hours for advisor to complete Graduation forms. • When the forms are completed, the students will return then to the 3rd floor of Rosenwald Building (Registrar’s Office). • The paper work will be processed and signed by one of the graduation counselors. • Then, one copy will be mailed to the student’s PO Box and one copy will be mailed to the advisor. • If there are any problems encountered, one of the graduation counselors will contact the student and advisor so that the problem can be resolved. • Registrar’s process can take several months. It is important that all undergraduate students clear for graduation at least 3 semesters before graduation to allow time to correct any problem. For example, Fall 05 graduates should clear for graduation by Spring 2005 |
